That's easier than one click in "Transform" in LR6? If I click on that icon the dreaded horizontal lines appear with which I'm supposed to mess around with. I click the little arrow to the left of that and the dropdown menu appears, with the "Tool" icon. When I click on it I get the white box next to it so that means it's activated. I'm looking at buildings downtown that I want to straighten. Messing with the slider just makes things worse. In fact, when I do click on Horizon it really doesn't do anything. Wellll.for me the Horizon I tool doesn't work anything like my one click solution in LR6. I have recently redone with DxO many images which I did with far more trouble and inferior results in PS. In VP you can do it to either the horizontals, or the verticals, or both. The horizon is by no means always the key. I do lots of architectural subjects and straighten very reliably with VP. If it isn’t visible then you need to activate it by checking it in the dropdown you find in the “Detail” right under the histogram. You can find the Horizon tool about half way down below the histogram. I did this yesterday with a couple dozen shots all including a partial views of the fence in the background and it “levelled” each one (even if they had different amounts of “tilt” in the originals).

Turn it “On” in the first picture of your series and you can then create a “preset” and bulk apply that to a batch.
You then can accept what it gives or use the slider to adjust. Just bring up the “Horizon” tool and click it. I'd like to hear from someone who has VP3 and get their impressions.

I can get ViewPoint 3 as an upgrade for $49. If the wide angle I'm shooting with needs some distortion correction, that's up one tab to the "Lens Correction" area and, again, one or two clicks and that's done. Again, in LR6 it's just one click in Transform (called something different in LR5) and it's done. The image I provided above is an example of me trying to eyeball my verticals. I just cannot "get my verticals straight" eyeballing through the viewfinder and I've done the hip-height shooting for so long I always get the comp I'm looking for. Normally, since all I do is shoot architectural/downtown stuff for work, I keep a bubble level in my hotshoe and shoot from hip height. I probably mis-understood your original question as asking about horizon/perpendicular correction. Select the "slope" you want with each of those lines to end up being vertical (or near vertical) and "enter". The perspective correction tool when turned ON will add a vertical line on the left and right side of your picture with an anchor point and a drag point on each line. If you zoom into the picture I posted you'll see some of the boxes turned "ON" (blue) and some not activated at all. (tiny slider to the right) That activates it. To get the horizontal to work though, you need to click the little box just to the upper right within the "horizon" tool so that it turns blue.

Yes, if you want full perspective correction then you do have to use the perspective tool that comes with the viewpoint add-on.
